TANA TORAJA – The grand opening of the new orphanage in Torajaland will be on Monday March 30th. We invite several guests, including our volunteer Veronique, the local government, neighbors, friends and family. The opening will be in Toraja-style. Our builders finniest the fence around the orphanage on time, beside that they did some other chores in and around the orphanage. Manaek and a volunteer are quite busy at the moment to prepare everything, so the children can be soon invited at the orphanage. Manaek and the volunteer used an old sewing machine to make from dozens meters of cloth bed and pillow sheets, the result is wonderful. Several handmade cupboards are placed in the orphanage. We ordered handmade bunk beds, mattresses and pillows because the generous support from two Dutch volunteers. They will deliver the bunk beds, mattresses and pillows next week at the orphanage. We ordered two flagpoles, which we can use to hoarse our PAK Project flag and the Indonesian flag during the grand opening.
