TANA TORAJA - The new orphanage in Torajaland was grand opened on March 30th. The orphanage was opened confirm traditional style, as a well fed pig was slaughtered. There were dozens of invited guest, including the village head, government’s employees, a volunteer, family, friends, neighbors and of course the children! The guests enjoyed a drink snack after the national flag and the PAK Project flag were heisted at the front side of the orphanage.
Manaek, the children and a volunteer overnight at the orphanage the night before the opening, so they could acclimatize a bit. The children didn’t get homesick because the divertissement at the building. After the kids went to bed they made a lot of noise, they didn’t sleep much as they woke up quite early in the morning.
